ARTIST STATEMENT

WA artist Sue Leeming allows the freedom of the creative process to guide her practice creating moments of synergy where her internal and external worlds collide. It is in this place of painterly freedom that a unique space is created calling forth the subconscious world of the artist to connect with her external lived experience. Reminders of home are everywhere. As my gaze rests on the horizon, longing stirs within me. Still frames of insight are captured from the periphery of memory and rendered into being.
